Yes, it is true Sacred Snatch turned 1 year old this month. I can't believe it has already been a year since I opened up this account.
I found my space about three years ago and mostly jumped on here to keep up with the kids and my friends. In fact, I am rarely on that account anymore.
Some friends and I started crafting and I got this hair up my ass and thought it would be cool to open up this account and see if there are some other artistas that I could network with, maybe share an idea and or just bounce around for inspiration.
I had no idea where this profile would take me. Within two weeks I was hooked! My friends teased me and even accused me of dropping them to the curb for my "New crafty friends" Psh, whatever, they are still with me, and then some!
Some Stats; (that still blow my mind by the way)

WTH? I thought having over 100 friends on my other profile was muey Chingona! Who would have thought that peeps would have love for a girl calling herself "Sacred Snatch?"
I even had second thoughts with the name when one gallery owner told me my name was to riskay for his clientele. I even have some "friends" who won't add me to their profile but who subscribe to my blogs and private message me, because they don't want people to get the wrong idea with my profile on their page.
Lol, that kind of cracks me up, but whatever. I know the true meaning behind my name and I am very proud of how it came about.
For me, the name emodies women who are strong, lovely, faithful, creative, and who value strong bonds and friendships.
Originaly, I was going to incorperate the Guadalupe image as part of my logo, because I felt she was the most Sacredest Snatch out there. (for real) but then I didn't want to be accused of being sacreligious. Even though I felt it would have been the most respectful homage I could pay to her.
Anyhow, I just wanted to give all my myspace homies a shot out. I truly appreciate each and every one of your adds and friend requests.
I have literally made some honest to goodness friendships here and have had a blast this past year attending and vending at events I never would have heard of without you.
I continue to look forward to getting to know more of you and am in constant awe of all the talent at my finger tips. Browse through my friend list and you will know what I am talking about.
Everyone of you are so positive and open about sharing a technique, product, and or introductions to other artists.
I love the world I have created here and I brag about all of you all the time. I have a lot of non myspacer homies who think I am nuts when I talk about it, lol, but I am proud to say, that I am good at converting them over here.
Sometimes I will be hanging with some homegirls and then we all kinda laugh when we realize that we all met each other through myspace.
Believe me, there was a time when I would NEVER even consider meeting anyone online. I used to think (like my husband) that there were nothing but socially dysfunctional people or scary pervy's online looking for hook ups. Ok, ok, I know I am a bit scary, but really, I can carry on a conversation outside of myspace too.
This month is also the "Regulator" and my aniversary as well. 20 years! Gaaaaw Dang that is a long time. hee. I was a kid when we married, but that is another story.
So Wednesday, we are headed to the Big Apple for some fun "couple" time.
We leave Wednesday night and will get there early Thursday morning. We will be staying through Sunday, and I already have a heavy itinuary set up. Poor guy is going to have to endure some shopping time, but I do have a lot of entertaining lined up too.
Special shot out to Crafty Chica for all her cool recommendations. I also plan on peeping out my homie, Olgaat an event she is vending on Saturday in East Harlem. (Can you say eye candy?) rarrw. hee.
If any of you have any other recommendations, let a sista know!
Also, "Sacred Handbag update":
Bag is leaving Florida and is going to be making it's way to Ohio! (yay)
Besos to all of you and I am so looking forward to another fabulous year with all of you!
PS. pray for my safe return, flying makes me nervous!
